Repainting at home is not just a process of changing the colour of the walls; it's a transformation of the room's soul and atmosphere. When we choose a new shade, we play with optical illusions. Step by step: How to paint a wall
Preparations:
Before you start painting, it's important to prepare the surface properly. This means removing or covering furniture and washing the walls with a mild soap solution to remove any dirt or grease. If there are uneven surfaces, holes, or cracks, fill them with spackle and sand the surface until it's smooth. To protect moldings, window frames, and other surfaces you don't want to get paint on, use masking tape.
Choose the right tools:
When it comes to tools, choosing the right brush and roller is crucial. A narrow brush is best for edges and corners, while a roller is ideal for larger surfaces.
Primer:
If you are painting over a dark colour with a lighter shade, or if the wall is uneven, start with a primer coat. This provides a smooth base and can help the final paint adhere better.
Painting:
When you start painting, begin with the edges using the brush. Then use the roller for the larger areas, and remember to apply even pressure to avoid drips. Let the first coat dry completely before considering applying a second coat. Drying time can vary depending on the paint type.
Leave the bag in the packaging recycling:
Our paint comes in a resealable bag that is easy to use and pour out. When the bag is empty, it can be placed directly in the packaging recycling.
Conclusion:
Once everything is done and the paint has dried, carefully remove the masking tape and restore the room by moving the furniture back.

Start your colour journey
with our swatches.
Our swatch kits contain all colours within a certain colour family, to make it easy to find the right colour. The swatches are 22x22 cm, hand-painted with the same paint you can order, and removable so you can try different colours without having to paint on the wall.
Peel off the protection on the back, put up the swatch on the wall, and move it around as you want to get a feel of the colour in different environments and light.
Pigments, binders, preservatives and water. The paint is eco-labeled with the Swan label and the EU Flower.

S'agit-il de couleurs mates ou brillantes ?
Notre peinture murale est mate (niveau de brillance 7), notre peinture pour plafond est ultra-mate (niveau de brillance 3), et notre laque est semi-mate (niveau de brillance 20). Toutes nos peintures sont faciles à appliquer, résistantes aux égratignures et lessivables.
Combien de temps faut-il à la peinture pour sécher ?
Peinture murale, peinture pour plafond et apprêt mural:
Sec au toucher : 1 heure
Peignable : 4 heures
Laque:
Sec au toucher : 1 heure
Peignable : 8 heures
Apprêt adhésif:
Sec au toucher : 1 heure

Combien de temps prend la livraison ?
En général, la livraison prend entre 2 et 4 jours ouvrés selon le mode de livraison sélectionné. Si vous passez votre commande avant 14h, nous mettons tout en œuvre pour l'expédier le jour même, afin qu'elle vous soit livrée dans les plus brefs délais.
De quelle quantité de peinture ai-je besoin ?
Excellente question ! Avec un litre de peinture, vous pouvez recouvrir environ 5m² en appliquant deux couches. Découvrez notre guide pour déterminer la quantité de peinture nécessaire pour votre pièce.
Sur quels types de surfaces les couleurs adhèrent-elles ?
Presque toutes ! Notre peinture adhère parfaitement aux surfaces stables, sèches et propres. Laissez libre cours à votre imagination.
Comment fonctionnent les retours ?
Vous pouvez renvoyer n'importe quel accessoire non-utilisé sous 14 jours. Vous pouvez nous contacter par email à hello@klint.com.
Malheureusement, nous n'acceptons pas les retours de peinture, même lorsqu'elles sont encore emballées, car elles sont fabriquées sur commande en fonction des demandes. Nous vous recommandons donc d'utiliser nos nuanciers ou nos échantillons pour trouver la bonne couleur avant de commander.
Les peintures Klint sont-elles sûres ?
Bien sûr ! Nos peintures sont testées contre les substances nocives, sans solvants ni agents de conditionnement, et contiennent moins de 1g/L de COV. De plus, nous n'utilisons ni n'ajoutons aucun COV lors du processus de fabrication.
Les COV (composés organiques volatils) sont des polluants atmosphériques d'intérieur courants. La limite établie par l'UE pour les peintures murales et de plafond est de 30g/L (cat. Aa/a).
J'ai besoin d'aide !
Quel est le meilleur moyen de se débarrasser de la peinture restante ?
Bonne question ! La peinture liquide doit être jetée dans un centre de recyclage ou une déchetterie. En revanche, si votre sachet de peinture Klint est vide, il vous suffit de le jeter dans la poubelle de tri. Contactez la municipalité pour connaître l'emplacement de la déchetterie ou du centre de recyclage le plus près de chez vous.
Puis-je peindre pendant la grossesse ?
Bonne question ! Actuellement, il n'existe aucune étude montrant que cela pourrait être problématique, tant que vous utilisez une peinture à base d'eau, sans solvants, sans plastifiants et avec une faible teneur en COV. (Ce qui est bien le cas de notre peinture). Mais – comme toujours lorsqu’on peint, il est conseillé de laisser la peinture sécher correctement et d’aérer la pièce pendant quelques heures avant d’y dormir. Comme pour la plupart des choses liées à la grossesse, nous recommandons de faire ce qui vous semble le mieux pour vous et votre bébé.
