Where are we, and how did you end up right here?
My apartment is in Fredhäll, a stone's throw from the water. It was a bit of chance – and a lot of coordinating – in a rental swap that led to me moving here around New Year 23/24. I wasn't familiar with the area before, but it's become my "oasis." It's calm, close to nature, and set apart from the city buzz that I'm otherwise a constant part of.
What do you like most about your home?
Since it's a corner apartment, it has a pretty much perfect layout – that was the first thing I fell for. It's also hard to beat that it's on the top floor, the fifth – that gives such a nice sense of space. And having a balcony is a real luxury! Yes... I really, really like my apartment.
Which colours did you choose, and what made you fall for them?
I prefer defined rooms over an open-plan layout. So it felt natural for each room in the apartment to get its own identity.
K54 – Maraschino (hallway): Because burgundy gives an intimate, cosy feeling – welcome into my inner world. It's nice to say hello and goodbye here.
K114 – Aloha (bathroom): The bathroom has a sand-coloured linoleum floor, so a sky-blue ceiling was the obvious choice. I couldn't resist sticking glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling, so it turns into a starry sky when you use the bathroom at night.
K27 – Oatmilk (library): I think it feels luxurious to be able to call it a "library" in a small functionalist apartment. Here the bookshelves get to dress the walls, so I went with a warm white for the walls that pairs nicely with the sisal rug continuing from the hallway.
Kitchen: K48 – Radiance was the original kitchen colour, but after noticing the yellow leaned a bit green because the kitchen faces north, I repainted it in a more yellow yellow, K28 – Pippi). I laid the black-checkered floor myself. The inspiration was an Italian trattoria/café – it should feel clattery, hearty, and cosy. It's not very big, but everything fits.
K59 – Parfait (bedroom): Pink is harmonious without being twee, and this particular shade shifts so beautifully between daylight and evening light. The soft feel of the walls is balanced out with furnishings in burgundy, natural beige, and silver so it doesn't feel "flat."
K34 – Antique (living room): A corner room with incredible feng shui, with windows facing two directions. All it needed was an antique-white shade on the walls. The furniture and art carry colours over from the other rooms.

Curious, practical, and sustainable.
What are you most pleased with?
I'd say I've managed to make every room in the apartment fulfil its function – and I'm proud of that. But the little desk spot in the "library" makes my heart beat a bit faster. I sit there every time I work from home, and I always feel so "chic" surrounded by books – it definitely makes me more productive!
