Where are we, and how did you end up here of all places?

We’re in my and my significant other’s 2BR flat in Hammarbyhöjden. Honestly, we ended up here because it’s a nice area for our dog, who’s not so fond of traffic. We’re right next to the Nackareservatet reserve!

What do you like the most about your home?

That it feels personal and inviting, with an amusing mix of the old and the new.

What was your thinking behind the colour scheme in your home?

Since we moved from an all-white 1BR flat and were pretty tired of it, this time we went all-in with colour. But the common thread is the earth tones.

Which colours did you choose? What attracted you to them in particular?

We painted the kitchen with 2 — Mourning Dove, which feels like the perfect calm beige that’s almost, but not quite white. We wanted a neutral colour since the kitchen trim and the rest of the flat are painted in more daring, darker colours.

What are you most satisfied with?

I love our kitchen. It’s really designed for long-lasting suppers with friends!

Warm, unexpected and interspersed.

Do you have any tips for anyone who wants to repaint?

Just do it! If it doesn’t turn out right, you can always repaint. Don’t be afraid to test slightly more playful colours too!
