What do you like the most about your home?

What I like the most is this home represents who I am. It’s colourful and vibrant but in a structured, deliberate way. Exactly how I’d like to think I am.

What was the thought process behind the colour scheme?

Colour! I’ve always been extremely creative, and that creativity has expressed itself in many different ways over the years. I think my hallway has changed colour five times.

Which colours did you choose and what attracted you to them in particular?

I found a favourite at Klint right away, Cantaloupe! Come on – that’s just too good to be true! With a cool name like that, I just had to choose it. That it’s the nicest shade of yellow is a plus. I painted with Marilyn Monroe in my hallway – a light pink that’s as cosy as can be.

Describe your decorating style in three words!

Vibrant, lush and dynamic

What were you most satisfied with?

Difficult to say. It’s like picking out your nicest purse from your closet. I love both my new bedroom and my new hallway.

What’s your best tip for anyone who wants to repaint?

“Just do it” is my absolute best tip. Don’t waffle about it too much. If you get the urge, just do it! The worst thing that can happen is that you need to repaint (and painting is a blast anyway). You’ll be amazed at how much you can accomplish as long as you’re brave enough to give it a try!
