Where are we, and how did you come to end up here?

We're in our apartment on Birger Jarlsgatan in Vasastan. We went to many viewings but immediately fell for the location, the view and the layout – it felt right from the very first time we stepped inside.

What do you like most about your home?

It's hard to choose, but my daughter's room holds a very special place in my heart. There it feels like everything truly fell into place. When we tested colours with swatches, we saw that 82 – Limón worked so beautifully with the curtain – the yellow tone in the fabric and the colour on the walls came together in a way that tied the whole room together.

How did you approach choosing your colour scheme?

The entire apartment was painted in the same beige colour when we moved in. We liked the warm tone but wanted to lift each room a little more and give them each their own personality without it getting too bold or colourful.

Which colours did you choose – and why those specifically?

In the living room and kitchen we painted with 2 – Linen, a warm and timeless beige that feels like a natural base. We painted a flea market side table in 67 – Rioja, which became a lovely pop of colour that picked up the red in our large mirror from HAY.

In the bedroom we chose 110 – Idyllic, a muted, harmonious green that truly invites rest and suits our interior style. And in our daughter's room we went for 82 – Limón, a warm and playful yellow that completely transformed the space.

We painted the study area and shelves in joinery paint for better durability. I was drawn to how the colours complement each other – every room has its own feel, but the whole still holds together in a way that feels considered.

What are you most pleased with?

Our daughter's yellow room! It's so warm and cosy in there. Every time I walk in, it makes me happy.

How would you describe your interior style in three words?

Personal, Scandinavian and cosy.

Your best tip for someone thinking about repainting?

Dare to take the step and paint with colour. It doesn't have to be drastic, even a shade with more character makes an enormous difference to a room. Colour is one of the easiest ways to create feeling and personality in a home.

If you could only choose one favourite colour from Klint's palette – which would it be?

82 – Limón, without a doubt. It's so much more than just yellow. It's warm, cheerful and changes completely depending on the light. Morning, noon, evening – it's almost like having different rooms.
