Where are we and how did you end up here?

We are in a residential area in Borås. We (I) are not known for planning unnecessarily, so we went to the house showing because we didn't have much else to do. The next day we made an offer.

What do you like most about your home?

I love the floor plan in our house, so even though we renovated a lot, the floor plan is exactly the same as when we bought the house. For me, it is important that there is a good gap. I love being able to circulate between and through different rooms in different ways, and that's exactly how it is at home. Then I love that most of the things in our home, both furniture and gadgets, are bought second hand.

How did you think about the colour of your home?

Unlike our apartment where we decorated with very different colours on the walls, we quickly came to the conclusion that we wanted to do the opposite in this house. So let the walls and the base be calm, and then add other elements that take care of themselves. Both in colour and shape. We are very far from the decorated rooms that I have in my head. Right now it's pretty minimalistic. And I'm far from a minimalist.

What colours have you chosen, what made you stick to them?

We have chosen to paint all common surfaces in 40 - Oasis. We knew we wanted a neutral colour, and it was important that it wouldn't be perceived as white. I love the undertones in Oasis. I almost wanted to lick the walls when I saw the paint in place for the first time. Thinks that must mean it turned out right.
