Where are we, and how did you end up here of all places?

We’re in a 2BR flat on Hornsgatan in the Södermalm district in Stockholm. I was born here but moved away at the age of two, so you can say that I’ve returned to the nest!

What do you like the most about your home?

The space with the glass doors between the living room and the bedroom. And the light-coloured floors!

Tell us which colours you chose!

I chose 34 — Antique for the living room since I wanted to maintain the airiness but add a little colour. It turned out wonderfully buttery-white in an inviting manner. For the kitchen, I chose 33 — Lush because I loved its blend of liveliness and calmness. Am super-satisfied with the colour choices, but it’s hard to choose because there are so many awesome colours.

What were you most satisfied with?

A bonus that I hadn’t counted on: that the colours reflect what’s outside the window! Heard that as a tip from some interior decorators. Antique perfectly matches the light yellow home directly across the street, and Tenerife captures the greenery.

Describe your decorating style in three words!

Pleasurable, spontaneous, imperfect.

Do you have any tips for anyone who wants to repaint?

Start with plenty of test sheets, and try them on different walls to see the colours in a different light. Then, narrow it down to 2–5 paint samples, and start painting right away on the wall so that you don’t have any second thoughts. Painting is easy and fun, so just do it!
