Guides
Painting your home with green colours is not just a process to change the colour of walls, ceilings, or objects; it is a transformation of the room's soul and atmosphere. Green, with its many shades, offers a unique opportunity to create a harmonious and balanced feeling in the home. Light green tones can give the room a sense of space, freshness, and renewal, while darker, deeper green shades can create a feeling of calm and relaxation.
Beyond the room's dimensions, green has the power to affect our mood. A soothing forest green can envelop us in a sense of nature and peace, while a lively lime green can fill the room with energy and vitality.
The psychological effect of green also extends to the function of our spaces. A workspace in a muted olive green can become a sanctuary for concentration, while a children's room in lighter green tones can become a place for play and creativity.
Choosing green can also be an extension of the home's character. Earthy green tones can highlight a nature-oriented interior, while a monochromatic green palette can give a modern and refreshing feeling. So, when choosing a colour, consider how the shade will affect the entire space. A thoughtful choice can transform and elevate your entire interior.
Preparations:
Before you start painting, it is important to prepare the surface properly. This can involve removing or covering objects nearby and cleaning the surface with a mild soap solution to remove any dirt or grease. If there are irregularities, holes, or cracks, fill them with filler and then sand the surface until it is smooth. To protect adjacent surfaces that you do not want to get paint on, use masking tape.
Choose the Right Tools:
The choice of the right tools can make a big difference in the final result. A narrow brush is best for detail work and edges, while a roller is ideal for larger, smooth surfaces.
Priming:
If you are painting over a dark color with a lighter shade, or if the surface is uneven, start with a primer. This provides an even base and can help the final color adhere better.
Painting:
When you begin painting, start with the details by using the brush. After that, use the roller for the larger, smooth surfaces, and remember to paint with even pressure to avoid drips. Let the first layer dry completely, which can vary depending on the paint type, before considering applying a second layer.
Recycling the Bag:
Our paint comes in a resealable bag that is easy to use and pour from. When the bag is empty, it can be placed directly in packaging recycling.
Completion:
When everything is done and the paint has dried, carefully remove the masking tape. If you have moved something in the process, make sure to restore everything to its original place.
Well done!
The kitchen, often considered the heart of the home, can be transformed using shades of green. A light sage green can give your kitchen cabinets a modern touch, while a darker forest green creates a traditional and cozy atmosphere. Green often complements wooden details and natural materials, making it an excellent choice for the kitchen. By repainting the cabinets, you can give your kitchen a whole new life without having to do a complete renovation.

The bedroom, your sanctuary for rest, can be enveloped in green for a calming effect. A soft mint green or a muted moss green can create a relaxing atmosphere that is perfect for rest. Combine with neutral textiles and wooden details for a harmonious feel.

In the living room, where we often spend most of our time, an olive or pea green shade can provide a sophisticated yet down-to-earth feel. Green can also serve as a neutral base, making it easy to add other colours through decorations and furniture.

A bathroom with light green walls can be reminiscent of a spa, offering a feeling of purity and relaxation. Darker green tones, like pine green, can provide a luxurious, deep atmosphere, especially when combined with gold or brass details. Consider moisture resistance when choosing paint for your bathroom.

The hallway, the first and last impression of your home, can be transformed with a pastel green shade for a fresh and welcoming impression. It reflects light well and can make a cramped space feel larger. A darker, forest green, on the other hand, can create a deep and elegant atmosphere, especially when combined with bright trims and details. Consider durability, especially in high-traffic areas.
